Description
This here is a 1960s 3HP @ 3600 RPM, Briggs and Stratton engine. I have no clue what the actual model and type numbers are as the shroud it has on it isn't original. I would assume it's an 80102 of some variety but I have no way to verify this.Pretty much this engine is a combination of a variety of different parts and pieces. The tank isn't original and the shroud came off a vertical shaft engine, not really sure what else is different about it but it's all there and it runs great.
I installed a new diaphragm kit on the carburetor and gave it a quick clean and adjustment. I installed a new points/condenser kit too and now it runs almost like new, no excess smoke or anything. Throttle response is great, starts within a couple of pulls with choke or half-choke.
The crankshaft is of the horizontal type, which allows it to be used on a variety of equipment from snowblowers, tillers, to even minibikes. The clutch is included with the engine and functions as it should.
Crankshaft dimensions are:
2-5/16" long
5/8" diameter
Has keyway and 1/4-28 tapped hole
Shipping is the standard but local pickup is also an option for those that would prefer it. If you got any questions, don't hesitate to ask!
