Exciting Mars Rover Design
Obverse: The obverse features the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Fiji in a red ocher toned circle, surrounded by the inscriptions "FIJI 2021" and "HALF DOLLAR."
Reverse: The reverse depicts Perseverance the Mars Rover navigating the rough, rocky terrain of the Martian surface, with Ingenuity the Mars Helicopter hovering above. The center area of the coin is colorized a rusty red, in honor of the color of the "Red Planet." Brightly colored insets accent the design, containing NASA's "meatball" logo, and the emblem of the 2020 Mars mission.
