Leather cover photo album with working metal clasp. 15 gilt-edged pages. 23 photos included in the album - they are as found when we obtained the album. Of the photos, it appears that 5 are tintypes. There is also a document similar to a business card but larger - on the first page (see photo).
The cover is loose from the binding of the pages. The pages are all attached by stitching. There is darkening to the pages from age. Some small rips to some of the pages. 5-1/8" x 3-3/4" x 1-1/2".
There are people depicted in all of the photos. One I found particularly interesting is the last photo, which is a tintype. It depicts a man wearing a Civil War Forage / Bummer cap. The tintype is within a copper-colored tin(?) frame, which was placed within the opening in the album page.
The first album page is also interesting - it has an illustration of a man identified as James St. Clair McC--- (cannot read end of name, it is covered by paper) Attorney-At-Law, Republican Nominee for District Attorney, York (PA). It appears to be a document similar to a larger business card.
Other photos include men, women, couples, children, toddlers. The photos are different sizes - the smallest are about  1" x 1.5".
