Antique 1900's Elk/Deer Hoof Taxidermy Copper Top Paperweight Man Cave Unique

This was my great grandfather's paperweight! He was born in the late 1800's and lived in NYC. Not sure how he came to have this but I have kept it stored away for 40+ years. It is in wonderful condition with no missing hairs, odors, etc.
Appears to be an elk or deer hoof with a hammered copper top. It is heavy and will certainly hold down that pile of papers on your desk! Would make a wonderful Father's day gift for someone who likes the unusual, is adventurous, a hunter, hiker or trekker. Father's Day is Sunday, June 20th this year (2021).
It is about 6" long, 2" wide and sits up about 2-1/2".
