Made out of plastic. I washed this one up a little because these have been sitting outside and have gotten dirty. It is new but the one we send you might need to be washed up too. This does not screw on but presses on or in a hole in the top of your tank.
• OD of the area that pushes in the top of the tank or tube is 1-3/4 inches and tapers up to 1-7/8 inches.
• Depth of the float swivel is 7 inches. Tank will have to be at least 8 inches deep in this area.
•Overall bezel diameter is 2-3/16 inches.
