Photo Album Belonging to a Norwegian American High School Student in Caldwell, Idaho. Caldwell, Idaho: Circa 1920. String tied album binding measuring 11.25 x 7.5", containing 200 pasted in photographs, several with captions. Album depicting the activities of a group of schoolchildren in Caldwell, Idaho, likely belonging to Kerube Steensland, a second generation Norwegian-American girl who graduated from Caldwell High School in 1921 (a printed card with her name is pasted in at the end, and her yearbook photo, accessible online, matches the majority of the images in the album). The album contains many images of the group of uniformed students posing in and around the town, plus photos of the students camping, swimming, posing in front of the school and atop a Union Pacific railroad car. There is also a photo of the school band, several images of the girls' basketball team, and photos of the students at graduation. One album page is captioned "nut ward--.00 offered for recapture" and contains a collage of cut-out candid photos. Overall in excellent condition, a few photos missing.  [5031]
