    A Black Leather Album,
    16 by 11 inches
with approximately, 189 black and white photographs, most are captioned. Covers and extremities severely rubbed and chipped with some loss; some pages slightly wavy, chips, tears, and toning; photos overall very good. Three leaves loose and a few photos, in the end, have been retaped into place.
Also features photographs of the S.S. Kaiser Wilhelm in Southampton, likely after its June 1914 collision with the Incemore.  There are many photos of women in period dress.
The SS Kaiser Wilhelm II, named for the German Emperor, was a 19,361 gross ton passenger ship built at Stettin, Germany (now Szczecin, Poland). The ship was completed in the spring of 1903. The ship was seized by the U.S. Government during World War I, and subsequently served as a transport ship under the name USS Agamemnon. On 17 June 1914 Kaiser Wilhelm II collided with the 3000 ton British steamer Incemore in thick fog off the Needles. Kaiser's hull was holed below the waterline, but the ship's watertight bulkheads held and the ship returned to Southampton under her own power.
