Sadly, the curator responsible for precipitating this unexpected, unanticipated, envelope stretching Laguna Art Museum Rick Griffin exhibit in 2007, Greg Escalante, died very recently, on September 8, 2017.  My condolences to the entire network of folks impacted by Greg's extensive energizing effects in the various graphic fields, especially readers of JUXTAPOZ, which he co-founded, along with ROBERT WILLIAMS and other LOW BROW ART LUMINARIES.
DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION:
First / Only printing exhibit promotional poster (produced prior to the 2007 event) is printed on thin, slick, promotional poster type stock. Poster shows portions of his surf artwork as well as the Grateful Dead's Aoxomoxoa album cover and the Hendrix Flying Eyeball poster - six images all told -
and a
short paragraph of bio info by Jon Severson (Founder of Surfer Magazine, and widely known for his epic surfing film "Pacific Vibrations"), who recently passed on after a long life of surfing. Not many copies were  were printed, thus already an uncommon poster! - Pristine A/A- Condition
