SINGER Teacher's Textbook of Machine Sewing 1957 on CD (PDF file) FREE SHIPPING!!!
This is a digital book on compact disc (CD) readable on your computer. This 200 page book is viewable on your computer and printable on your home printer. Rare book on CD (PDF file)- not the actual hard copy book. The actual book, when available, has sold for 0.00 on the internet.
The first page says: "MACHINE SEWING - A Treatise on the care and use of SINGER family sewing machines and their attachments. Specially prepared for Teachers of Home Economics." It was specifically written to teach proper care of sewing machines, methods of sewing, and use of the many accessories that came with the sewing machines. Specific machines used in the book are the Featherweight 221, 99, 101, 115, 127, 128, 201, 15-91, 301,etc.
I own a 15-91,301 and a 221. This book is invaluable to me because it has information about the machines that are not in the manual. When I bought my machines, it came with numerous attachment that looked like science fiction to me. It remained stored in the boxes it came in because there were no instructions on how to use them. When I read this book, it changed everything. Clearly explaining the how-to of these "extras" made my machines do more than sew straight forward and backward! The directions were easy to understand. There are many diagrams, photos, and drawings on every page of this book. Many of the examples use the 221 and the 301 so if you have those machines, you will enjoy how it exactly teaches you to do different things.
