VINTAGE 1930s DIONNE QUINTUPLETS BABY BOOK JOHN A. BROWN DEPT STORE OKLHOMA CITY

This is a small booklet that was originally a gift to new mothers, who shopped at the "John A. Brown Company." This was a small chain of department stores, located in Oklahoma. The first John A. Brown store opened in 1932, in Oklahoma City, OK. In the 1980's, the few surviving stores were bought out by Dillard's, who immediately changed the name of the stores. The cover of the booklet reads: "DIONNE QUINTUPLET BABY BOOK...Copyright 1935 NEA SERVICE INC." The book is not actually about the Dionne Quints. It was for new moms to record personal facts about their infant. (EX: Baby Weight, Birth Time, Color of Eyes, Date of First Steps, and so on.) There are also some tips for new parents. Throughout the book, there are photos of of the Dionne Quintuplets when they were babies. The booklet measures 8 & 3/4 by 5 & 3/4 inches. The condition is GOOD. It is MOSTLY unused. The only writing is under the section titled; "Health Record". Hand written (in PENCIL): "Sonny had measles when 2 & 1/2 yrs old - took them from Jerry S." There is NO other writing in the booklet. It displays nicely with some minor wear, soiling and yellowing. This item is guaranteed to be old & original - made in the 1930's - or your money back.
