This is a vintage magazine, that is an advertising brochure, or booklet, for a mail order correspondence course in taxidermy. The cover reads: "A SCHOOL for NATURE LOVERS and SPORTSMEN...NORTHWESTERN SCHOOL of TAXIDERMY...TAXIDERMY TAUGHT BY CORRESPONDENCE." The booklet measures 9 & 3/4 by 7 & 1/2 inches. It was made to entice people into taking the course. It has 48 pages. There are dozens of photographs of taxidermy animals, a list of lessons, what you should expect to learn, tips on taxidermy for profit, testimonials from previous students, and so on. This is NOT an instruction guide, or "How To" booklet - it was made to get potential students to sign up for the class. It does not have a date, but I have looked it over closely and it appears to be from the early to mid 1930's. (The school opened in 1903. Printed inside is a letter, from a previous student, which is dated 1927 - so this is some time after 1927.) The condition is FAIR. The cover is partly split at the spine, but is still attached to brochure. It has some creases, soiling and general wear. Inside, there is NO writing, torn, loose or missing pages. This brochure is guaranteed to be old & original or your money back.
